Our 2024 Live Spring Concert
Coming Saturday, 5 p.m. June 15, 2024
The Towne Singers present ‘Sense-Sational!’, A choral concert.
The 75-voice Towne Singers community chorus is presenting its next concert on Saturday June 15, 2024 at the Glendale Performing Arts Center. The chorus, under the direction of Lance Merrill, features singers from the greater Los Angeles area, and has been entertaining audiences in the Foothill communities for 37 years (and has performed in Italy, Austria, the British Isles, and at Carnegie Hall as well).
The choral selections are inspired by those human qualities that keep us in touch with our world — our senses! So if stimulation, excitation, taste, fragrance, and rhythm sound fascinating, this concert is for you! The repertoire will feature And All That Jazz, I’ll Be Seeing You, Good Vibrations, the Sound of Silence, Fascinating Rhythm, the Drinking Song, the Orange Blossom Special, and many more.
The choral performance will be complemented by an entertaining narrative, choreography, sound effects, and other features to stimulate your senses. During intermission, there will be a sense-sational “Name that Aroma” contest.
The GPAC venue provides comfortable seating, and adjacent free parking. Tickets are $25, and free for children age 12 and under.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, from a Towne Singers member, or online at www.TowneSingers.org. Additional information can be requested at townesingers87@gmail.com, or call (626)-604-6231.
